You Didnt LOve or THuG ME RIght!

So why was I still pissy ... not mad ...not angry.....more lip smack and eye roll

I say WAS because I was scrolling a few weeks back after a mid day nap.

Pause:

I should have known I was gonna have a come to Jesus moment due to the fact that I took a nap in the afternoon.. A good ol' LORD SUPERCHARGE.

Start:

So I was scrolling through Reels which is my favorite pastime and saw a video of the one and only Goddess herself, Iyanla Vanzant . She stood on that camera and said the following :

"You don't get to tell people how to love you ; you get to choose if you want to participate in the way they love :

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The light from all my 38 years went off! I have always said folks don't change they just get a little better for next time. Now I still reference back to my last relationship ...well I have a tendency to say "lover chapter" because I rip any ounce of love from the entanglement and leave it to its bare bones . Leaving the stained notion that, I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A REAL RELATIONSHIP.

Just because they had different ways of showing affections, admiration, and elevations to become t

he partner they think they can be ,doesn't need the have a void of loving others.

From childhood trauma to simply not being taught or tangible examples of HEALTHY, love ...we all are doing the best we can . Who am I to self agrandize my creative/sweet attempts at love as if I know all. All I know is what I have practiced at and failed at as well as my partners at the time.

So I think its time to get the uneven pad and past of my shoulder and realized. ...MY BLACK ASS left the union because if wasn't fitting for me , not because they are horrible . Also , I am not the easiest when there is a first sign of trouble/differences.

I choose to participate in the love of my soul, my family, of chocolate, and maybe one day the love of another that mirrors mine.

So my past " love chapter " participants will not get the eye roll , lip smack, or verbal lashing....just a hair flip and a Beyonce Verse... its progression y'all !!!
